Special Terms and Conditions – Blue Marlin Fishing 2026

1. Payment Terms
1.1 Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of €500 is required at booking to secure participation.

1.2 Deposit Deadline: Reservations are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of the deposit.
1.3 Final Payment Deadline: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 90 days before departure.

1.4 Currency Conversion: All payments will be made in Euros, with conversion rates applied at the time of payment.

1.5 Refund Currency: Refunds will be issued in the original currency paid, at the current exchange rate at the time the refund is processed.

2. Cancellation and Transfer Policy

2.1 Trip Cancellation: Payments, except the deposit, are refundable if canceled more than 90 days before departure. No refunds will be issued within 90 days of the trip start date.

2.2 Airfare Cancellation: Subject to airline policies. The Unfiltered Traveler, LLC is not responsible for airfare changes or cancellations.

2.3 Mandatory Travel Insurance: All participants must purchase travel insurance, which is nonrefundable.

2.4 Reservation Transfers: Reservations can be transferred to another traveler up to 90 days before departure. Transfers after this period are not permitted.

3. Participant Eligibility and Requirements

3.1 Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years old unless accompanied by a guardian.

3.2 Physical Fitness: This trip is physically demanding and involves inherent risks. Participants must be in good health and should consult their doctor before booking. Due to the nature of the experience, this trip is not suitable for those with limited mobility or requiring a wheelchair. Please inquire before booking.

3.3 Group Compliance: Participants must follow the group itinerary and instructions from guides and trip leaders. Minor deviations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

4. Minimum Group Requirement
4.1 Minimum Anglers: A minimum of three (3) anglers is required for this trip to operate. Every effort will be made by The Unfiltered Traveler, LLC to reach the required minimum.
4.2 If Minimum Not Met: Should the minimum not be met, booked participants will have the option to:

-Continue their booking at an adjusted (higher) cost to be provided at that time; or

-Cancel their booking and receive a refund of their deposit.
4.3 Refund Currency: Refunds will be issued in the original currency paid, at the current exchange rate at the time the refund is processed.

5. Passport and Visa Requirements

5.1 Passport Validity: A passport valid for at least six months beyond the trip start date is required.

5.2 Passport Submission Deadline: Participants without a current passport must obtain one and submit their passport details to The Unfiltered Traveler, LLC by April 10, 2026. Failure to do so will result in trip cancellation without a refund.

5.3 Traveler Responsibility: Participants are responsible for knowing their eligibility to enter a foreign country, maintaining their passport, and ensuring they have the correct documentation for travel.

5.4 Visa Requirements: Some nationalities may require a visa to enter Spain. It is the traveler’s responsibility to confirm and secure the necessary visa(s).

6. Inclusions and Exclusions

6.1 Included Services:

-Accommodations: 4 nights in multi-bedroom apartments

-Fishing Charter: 3 days of guided fishing with an English-speaking professional guide

-Meals: 4 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 4 dinners featuring local, sustainable cuisine

-Beverages: Local beer and wine and non-alcoholic drinks included

-Transportation: Airport transfers

6.2 Excluded Services:

-International airfare

-Additional meals or beverages outside the itinerary

-Personal expenses

-Mandatory travel insurance

7. Code of Conduct

7.1 Respect for Local Culture: Participants are expected to engage respectfully with local communities and follow sustainable travel practices.

7.2 Prohibited Activities: The use or possession of illegal substances, disruptive behavior, or conduct deemed disrespectful will result in immediate removal from the trip without a refund.

8. Itinerary and Travel Adjustments

8.1 Weather and Operational Changes: The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, operational requirements, or unforeseen circumstances.

8.2 Final Itinerary: Detailed itinerary information will be provided a few days before departure.

9. Travel Insurance

9.1 Mandatory Coverage: Comprehensive travel insurance is required and must include coverage for medical emergencies, accidents, and trip cancellations. Proof of coverage must be submitted before departure.

10. Health and Safety

10.1 Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of each participant to ensure compliance with all health and vaccination requirements for entry into Spain and any transit countries.

10.2 Medical Consultation: Participants are strongly advised to consult with a licensed physician or travel medicine specialist well in advance of departure to discuss health precautions, including but not limited to routine immunizations, recommended travel vaccines, and preventative medications.

10.3 Official Guidance: Participants must review the most current health advisories and entry requirements as published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (www.cdc.gov/travel) and the U.S. Embassy in Spain (https://es.usembassy.gov/).

10.4 Non-Compliance: Failure to meet applicable health or vaccination requirements will not constitute grounds for a refund.

10. Flight Arrangements

10.1 Booking Responsibility: Participants are responsible for booking their international flights, unless arranged with Rachel McDowell, The Unfiltered Traveler.

10.2 Arrival Coordination: Recommended arrival times will be provided.

11. Liability Disclaimer

11.1 Assumption of Risk: Participants acknowledge that deep-sea fishing carries inherent risks, including but not limited to, rough waters, injuries, or unexpected weather conditions. By booking this trip, participants accept these risks.

11.2 Third-Party Services: The Unfiltered Traveler, LLC is not liable for the actions or omissions of third-party service providers, including airlines, guides, and local operators.
