Nine days. Victoria Falls. Big Five safaris. Luxury lodges. A small group experience led by Rachel McDowell. Adventure and indulgence in equal measure.
"Working with Rachel made this the least stressful and most fulfilling travel experience I've ever had."

Every trip is capped small. When a date works for you, reach out early.
Looking ahead
New trips are added intentionally, not frequently. Community members get early access to future announcements.

After 24 years in the military, I understand preparation, responsibility, and what it means to lead
people through unfamiliar terrain...literally and figuratively.
I bring that same leadership to group travel.
Clear plans.
Honest expectations.
Care for the group.

who these trips are for
Every trip is different. Some are women-only, some welcome everyone. What stays the same is the kind of person who thrives here

You don't need to be an expert traveler. You don't need a travel partner. You just need to be open, adaptable, and ready to be part of something shared.

A note on group energy
The best part of these trips isn't just the destination. It's the people you share it with. That only works when everyone shows up with openness, respect, and a willingness to be part of something bigger than themselves.
You don't need to be the most outgoing person in the group. You just need to be present, flexible, and genuinely glad to be there.
That's how the best trip memories get made.

What made this trip truly special was the connection. Rachel brought together strong, thoughtful women and created a space that felt intentional from the very beginning. By the time we arrived, we already felt connected.

What makes these trips different
Small group, capped
Clear preparation before departure

How group travel works
New trips are shared first in the private Facebook group, then in The Unfiltered Weekly. When one speaks to you, join its waitlist. Each trip page is honest about what it asks of you, so you’ll know if it’s right before you commit.
When booking opens, everyone on the waitlist gets the details at the same time. Lock in your place, and the group starts coming together.
Packing lists, fitness prep, logistics, what to expect each day. Rachel handles the details and sends you everything you need, so you show up ready, not anxious.
You arrive prepared and confident, with nothing left to manage. All that’s left is to be there.

BRING YOUR OWN GROUP
You bring the people. Rachel handles everything else – the destination, the logistics, the details, the stress.
Whether it’s a family reunion, a milestone birthday, a girls’ trip, or a team retreat, Rachel will design a custom group experience around your crew.
And here’s the best part - when you organize the group, it's possible you can travel for free.
Most people don't, and that's the point. These trips are built for people who come on their own as much as for friends who sign up together. Groups are small, and they come together before the trip, so you'll know names and faces before you land. By the end of the first day, you won't feel like the new person.
People who want to see a place for real, not just check it off a list. They value preparation, respect the group and the places they visit, and are open to something new. Ages, backgrounds and experience levels vary. What they have in common is that they show up ready to be part of something shared.
Start with the trip page. Each one is honest about what the trip asks of you - the pace, the physical demands and what a typical day looks like. If you're still not sure, ask Rachel. If a trip isn't the right fit, she'll tell you, even if that means you don't book it.
All of it. Once you book, you get the full picture: packing lists, logistics, fitness prep, what to expect each day and the apps worth downloading before you go. You won't have to piece anything together yourself or wonder what you've missed.
Plans change. Flights get delayed, weather turns and things come up. Rachel plans for that before you leave, so there's already a backup when it happens. On the trip, she handles it calmly so you don't have to. Rachel also recommends trip protection for every traveler, so you're covered for what nobody can plan around.
Ready to explore together?
Tell Rachel what you're looking for. If a trip fits, she'll say so. If none do yet, she'll tell you that too.
